BTJustice Posted November 15, 2011 Report Posted November 15, 2011 I have disabled DHT, Peer Exchange, and Local Peer Discovery. I also removed all the trackers listed on certain torrents. I then add the IP of a good, fast peer so I am only getting the torrent from that IP.For whatever reason, uTorrent still finds other peers automatically. How do I disable that from happening so I am only downloading from peers I manually add?
DreadWingKnight Posted November 15, 2011 Report Posted November 15, 2011 You can't. Other peers get information about you from peers you do connect to.
BTJustice Posted November 15, 2011 Author Report Posted November 15, 2011 Well that sucks. So, for example, I have added two IPs to download from. More IPs are automatically added as I download from the two IPs I added?
BTJustice Posted November 15, 2011 Author Report Posted November 15, 2011 I am searching for this now here. Can uTorrent be set to auto block peers that are not uploading at a minimal speed/rate?
DreadWingKnight Posted November 15, 2011 Report Posted November 15, 2011 No, and you won't gain anything by micromanaging them off of you.
BTJustice Posted November 15, 2011 Author Report Posted November 15, 2011 I would gain fairness. It pisses me off when people are downloading stuff from me at a very high rate while I am downloading at a much slower rate from them. If they aren't going to allow full speed, why should I?
DreadWingKnight Posted November 15, 2011 Report Posted November 15, 2011 <brokenrecordmode>Just because they aren't uploading to you, it doesn't mean they aren't uploading at all</brokenrecordmode>
