Only Recheck one File at a time?

Why is uTorrent only rechecking one file at a time. I had to shut uTorrent down with task manager because it stopped responding and the 25 downloads I had going all start the process of rechecking themselves when uTorrent starts back up. This is fine but it is only checking one at a time while the others sit with a "checked 0%" in there status boxes. Is there a setting I can change somewhere that will allow checking of multiple files at once?

Because Hash checking is hard drive speed bound. Checking multiple torrents at once will NOT speed up the process.

Ahhh. This makes sense. Is there any rhyme or reason to what order the torrents are rechecked in? They don't seem to do it in queued order.
