At begin torrent my speed is around 3 MB/s and towards the end it drops to a silly 50kB/s. I must disagree with the "availability of pieces in the swarm" argument though. I do agree that this can lead to a speed reduction. However, I see this behaviour too within torrents with 23 seeds who all have 100% availability and are not choked. Naturally, you can consider the fact that these seeds also provide to other clients, but I see the speed drop WITHIN one seed (i.e. all the high speed seeds drop their speed dramatically).PS - I did check for ISP throttling, which came back negative...
