mariek
I want to store my files on a new hard drive I recently got. I copied everything over, and deleted them from my computer. I set the "default download location" to this new hard drive.uTorrent is telling me "Error: no such file or directory" and not seeding, or "Error: Files missing from job. Please recheck"How do I set uTorrent to get the files to seed from their new home on the drive, rather than the original location on my desktop? I have looked in all the menus and simply can't figure it out. Ultimately, I can put them back on my desktop, but that would defeat the whole point of getting the new drive, etc.New torrents are downloading to the location on the new drive.Any help would be greatly appreciated as while I've been downloading torrents for a while, I am not very knowledgable about the goings on and workings of them. Also, I'm on a Mac. mariek
Sorry, didn't realize there were separate boards for Mac/Windows. My apologies!!!!!!
kaiser2222
Not sure if this will work but try restarting the file from scratch with the new location selected. Once it has started down loading and you have at least 1 piece complete stop the DL and overwrite the new file with the completed old one. Do a "force recheck" and it should load the complete file. Note you must not have the files in skip mode. This will be a bit messy and slow but should do the trick.
