Spjorn Posted November 20, 2011 Report Posted November 20, 2011 Im sure you guys have answered this question before but I didnt find it :/So the problem is that I found a sweetspot of 3 active downloads. At the moment I get total download speed about 7,6MB/SWhen I add another "active download" it plummets to 2,5MB/S. I dont get it, shouldn't my total download become at least as high as before? Is the HDD to slow or why do I get lower download speed when I have more active connections?A not related question: Can uTorrent sett these settings dynamicaly depending on the load of the different torrents? Example if my max download speed is 10MB/s and there are several slower torrents running uTorrent should open more active downloads to maximise the total download speed...
DreadWingKnight Posted November 20, 2011 Report Posted November 20, 2011 What is happening is a combination of an increase in the number of peer connections that your hardware can't handle and splitting your connection more ways than you should. And any attempts to dynamically adjust settings like the way you propose will just cause a massive yoyo effect that is better solved by keeping your settings low.
