Aapje80 Posted November 29, 2011 Report Posted November 29, 2011 I have been using uTorrent for a long time without any problems, untill today.Since today, I somehow can't connect to any seeds anymore, every torrent stays at 0/339 or 0/2188 for example.I think it has something to do with the fact that I was downloading at a friends place (so different IP), but can't figure out how to fix it.In the message log I get this: "["my IP"](torrent name): Banning peer: same peer id as existing peer"I tried some things to fix it, e.g. restoring settings, change Port number ("randomize now"), but I've ran out of ideas now.Anybody that can help me?*edit*: after a couple restarts of uTorrent (and unchecking the "automatically map port" box), the downloads worked for 5 minutes (with speed of 2mb/s) but then dropping to 0kb/s in half a minute.
DreadWingKnight Posted November 29, 2011 Report Posted November 29, 2011 In the message log I get this: "["my IP"](torrent name): Banning peer: same peer id as existing peer"Not relevant to your issue. What changed between things working and not?
AnnSnark Posted November 30, 2011 Report Posted November 30, 2011 Hi,have you changed any preferences at your friends'? The problem can be connected with your location and connecting to different peers, if so, it should fix itself after some time. Are there any problems when you add new torrents? Thank you!

Doesn't matter if I am connect to 3000 or 3 seeds, it's stays at 0 (3000) or 0 (3).Hi,have you changed any preferences at your friends'? Thank you!No didn't change anything. It was working fine there. And when adding new torrent it is no different than usual,But I did some research on this problem, and I read somewhere that when you download using a different IP than usual it can change the port. The weirdest thing is that sometimes when i restart my mac, I can download for 5 minutes on normal speed, but then it goes quickly down to 0kb/s.
magnanimous1 Posted December 14, 2011 Report Posted December 14, 2011 Bump... Same problem(For example, Seeds: 0(13433), Peers: 0(7594))
