Red Stop sign when downloading

When I try to add something to download it will act as if it's going to start for a few seconds but then a red stop sign with an exclamation point will appear and the downloading stops. Force start doesn't work and I really don't know what to do. [DHT], [Local Peer Discovery], and [Peer Exchange] all have a status that begins by saying they're working, but then all of a sudden they become inactive. Also 2 out of 3 of my trackers have status's saying "Connection timed out."Can someone please help me?

I am running utorrent 1.5.11 on Mac OS X version 10.7.2

Me too, and I am under Mac OS 10.5.

I have a red stop too for one of mine.

I have always to re-Force start.

It's not normal.

When I force it, it works for 1-2 minutes and tells : Error : ls a directory.

So I re-Force start et re-works for 1-2 minutes...

What's the problem ?

could you check your directory preferences? Do you download to hard or external drive?

I download to my hard drive.
