μTorrent not opening files from within

Hi there

I have a HUGE problem with μTorrent 3.0 and 3.1 RC:

1) If I right-click a downloading or downloaded torrent/file and choose "Open containing folder" nothing happens. Same error if I double-click a torrent from the torrents list.

2) If I right-click a downloading or downloaded torrent/file and choose "Open" and choose open I get an error that states: "There was an error opening *the-path-of-the-file*. Maybe the file hasn't been fully downloaded yet?" Same error if I double-click a file from the Files tab.

3) If I use the Stream option which is intergrated in μTorrent I get the error: "There was an error opening the stream".

The problem first shown itself yesterday. What have I tried? Spyware scan, virus scan, complete removal of μTorrent, system restore. Nothing did the trick. I am pretty desperate right here. I am on the verge of re-installing windows just for this matter.

Any solutions, please?

One more thing, I just tried doing the above in Windows Safe mode. They all worked flawlessly. I'll be damned.
