ironslug
My client V3.0 b.26473 waits for around 20 seconds before it writes data from the cache to the HDD. I have tried increasing my cache size to 200 MB, but this only delays the inevitable as I am on a very High Speed connection. I can literally count to 20 seconds before I see the client writing data to the HDD no matter how close it gets to the buffer limit. I have played with checking and un-checking boxes under the advanced cache controls but it doesn't matter. This really needs to be addressed as a 60+Mbps connection will consume any size cache pretty fast. Note that even when my client has maxed out the cache it will be about 20 seconds before it begins to write out so it can continue downloading. Is there a max torrent limit that may be affecting the operation of this client?
rafi
This issue is being addressed in 3.1. It is not stable yet, but you can try it out there with my recommended settings - http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?pid=622260#p622260If you do that - just make sure you are in a different install-directory, so to keep you old settings in tact. An better use RC4 - http://www.mediafire.com/?m5ygcccgrkj9cassince RC5 is buggy...
