Utorrent completely gone from computer

So I was on my computer browsing the internet when it died (laptop) and upon restarting it, utorrent was completely gone from my computer. It wasn't in the programs tab in the start menu, the "utorrent" file wasn't in my program files, when I searched for "torrent" in my computer, the only thing that came up was the torrent files I had downloaded. Nothing relating to utorrent whatsoever. Has this happened to any of you? I'm not really looking to redownload it or how to fix the problem as I had downloaded what I wanted to, but I am just wondering what caused it. I have a windows 7 64 bit.
