SnarkTart
Hello! I've seen this floating around the forums and no matter the suggestion, I have not been able to get my torrents to work. Here's the issue,I have an external harddrive and for at least six months now I have separated my files so that my torrents automatically download into a file called "Torrent" and my downloads download into a file called "Downloads" therefore on my uTorrent, I have checked "Automatically Load torrents from...." with the "torrent" file checked. This has worked for the longest until I noticed that my files downloaded from this month are not seeding and have turned into red ! after I download them, quit uTorrent, and reopen uTorrent. I searched on the forums and found the issue with .torrent.imported and tried to delete the .imported from the file. The file only stayed as a torrent file until I reopened uTorrent, then it was back to being a .torrent.imported file. So I unchecked "automatically load torrents from..." as someone suggested that that was the issue. Well that caused every single torrent file of mine to go to .torrent.imported (including the ones in library/application support/utorrent) and now when I open uTorrent they either want to re download (although I already have the files) or they simply do not want to work. I have no idea what to do now.My Mac is OSX 10.6.8 and my uTorrent is 1.5.
DreadWingKnight
Are your "Store torrents in" and "Automatically load torrents from" the same?If so, don't.
SnarkTart
Yeah they are.
DreadWingKnight
Having those two as the same location, you're causing the problem yourself.
SnarkTart
That sucks. So how should I fix it?
DreadWingKnight
Change one of them to a different location. The automatic loading of torrents is ONLY needed if you're downloading a bunch of torrent files in quick succession automatically. DreadWingKnight
And before you ask, no you don't need to autoload the torrents on launch. uTorrent remembers them.

Squirtle
I'm having the same issue, with the same software. The difference is, they're going to different locations. This wasn't an issue until saturday when I erased and reinstalled my HD. Any ideas? Should I uncheck the autoload?
DreadWingKnight
Yes.
Squirtle
It's unclicked, and has been since I sent this. Here's a screen shot of my uTorrent settings and downloads. There are .torrents currently in both of those locations, and in "uTorrent" is where the file folders are stored. I feel like the solution is quite simple, but I can't think of what it is. Thanks in advance!
