PowerPC dual G4 uTorrent download speed 10x slower than intel mac

uTorrent downloads are 10x slower on G4 than uTorrent on an intel mac. (20-30Kb/s download on G4 vs 200-300Kb/s on intel mac) - also, intel mac does not have port forwarding active.

Machine and settings.

Dual G4 1.25Ghz running uTorrent 1.5.11 in OS X 10.5.

Port forwarding from my router to uTorrent is active and working.

Encryption is checked.

Upload speed limited to 20 Kb/s. (I have tried other settings with no effect)

WebUI is enabled - local webUI server (not uTorrent remote)

Is the webUI slowing down the download speed?

I don't have the webUI enabled on the intel mac since it is my primary machine.

The intel mac also has upload speed limited to 20 Kb/s.

Can anyone give me advice on how to increase the speed on the G4? I like uTorrent's interface and webUI gui however, if I cannot fix this, I will have to go back using an old version of Azureus. Azureus works with a webUI, but has memory leak issues and has to be restarted every couple of days.
