DHT problem

Hi!

I have been having DHT problems for a few weeks now. I have read all of the treads here and nothing seems to help. It started after I updated my uT to version 3.0. Now I updated it to version 3.1 and still have the same problem, still says DHT: Waiting to login or 0 nodes (login). I tried deleting the DHT files in the appdata folder - nothing changes. My firewall allows uT. Also I enabled scheduler and unchecked "Disable DHT when turning off".

Please help, cause I have no idea what to do.

I'll explain what happened to me and see if it helps you. For quite some time with uTorrent I could never seem to get the green tick mark and always had the problem with getting no DHT's. I was using Sunbelt Kerio Personal Firewall and had uTorrent as a program to allow in the settings, but no green tick, no nodes and it wouldn't connect to the trackers beginning with u. Due to my firewall becoming extinct at the end of December, I uninstalled it and installed the Comodo free firewall. As if by magic the green tick appeared straight away, DHT worked, loads of nodes and the trackers beginning with u started connecting. The upshot is that, even though I thought uTorrent was set up right with my firewall, it obviously wasn't. I would suggest therefore deleted uTorrent from your firewall and then resetting it with the latest version and see if that helps.

What internet security software do you actually have installed?

http://torrenthelp.depthstrike.com/2007/11/utorrent-dht-troubleshooting.html - did you follow this?

I use Windows Firewall and Microsoft Security Essential.

What is a UDP Traffic? Don't see that name among my allowed programs.

http://torrenthelp.depthstrike.com/2007/11/utorrent-dht-troubleshooting.html No. 4th I have done several times, not helping. With the third one - my DHT stopped working after I upgraded my uT version.

I would suggest therefore deleted uTorrent from your firewall and then resetting it with the latest version and see if that helps.

I did that many times and it didn't help. :( Like I said, the problem started when I upgraded to version 3.0 and when I downloaded version 3.1, the problem didn't go away.

I do apologize, cause I don't understand computers very much and also, English isn't my native language which makes understanding a bit difficult.
