Screen freeze, but utorrent works

vl

Recommended Posts

I am on a Mac, running 10.6.8.

I can download a torrent and launch utorrent by doubleclicking on the torrent. The files download without any problem--but here is the kicker. When I click on anything on the utorrent window, nothing happens other than the Mac sound that says, "you can't do that'.

I cannot look at different windows (general, trackers, files, etc.) I cannot highlight any of the files. This began months ago--and even when I open and close the window, the problem isn't resolved.

Suggestions? thanks.

Mac OS X version 10.7.2 core i5 3.29GHz 8Gb RAM

uTorrent version 1.5.12

I hate this much too )

Sometimes uTorrent is not responding (OS says "Application not responding"). All GUI freezes for about 60sec or more, after that I can do something (scroll torrents list for example) than it freezes again... I even can't minimize or maximize uTorrent window...

"Force quit" and restarting helps for some time...

When uTorrent is not responding it consumes for instance about 5-10% of CPU and 46Mb of RAM and has 10 threads. There isn't any heavy disk or network usage.

I have 62 torrents, all completed and in Seeding state.

Fix this please )

Ok, never mind.

I did a force quit--which I hate to do--and it fixed it.

thanks.
