You do realize the whole point of bittorrent is to share. With the recommendation of a ratio 1.5. Turning off uploads defeats that goal. I do not think uTorrent in of it self can disable uploads. If you fail to seed any of the files you download, trackers may take some action - perhaps not responding to your ip address when you request info on seeders. Who knows? I suppose if you had a router you could disable port forwarding and not allow anyone to request pieces of a torrent. You could reduce your upload speed and the number of upload slots to the minimum - but you would still be "uploading". If you are worried of someone hacking your computer and uploading files (I assume you are talking about files other than torrents). I would think they could get your files without even using uTorrent. Then uTorrent would be the least of your problems.
