denots311
I have been using torrents for years with no problems until just recently it stopped working. I tried checking all sorts of settings with no results. I did a factory reset on my router (netgear) and it started to work all of a sudden. So I let it go all night (catching up on downloads) and when I woke up the next morning back to not working again... I have checked my firewall (windows), my antivirus (webroot secure anywhere), fallowed instructions on blogs telling me how to make sure ports are forwarded, still nothing. when i run the speed test it says results: speed test failed connection closed by peer... can anyone help
archiive
i have used it for some time. I have removed the firewall obsticle. I have dht enableed. or so I think. Regardless I login and everything seems to work. Over a span of an hour or so I will lose all the nodes and be back to0 nodes waiting to login in. If i was connected to a peer the downloading will continue but any other ongoing will not connect or proceed, being as it seems to beieve we are waiting to login. If i login to dht again the whole process starts over and an hour later it is hungry.again.Help? ideas? Mac-the-Knife
In the section DreadWingKnight gave you a link for was a link titled: INFORMATION WE MIGHT NEED IF NOTHING ELSE HELPSExact model of router and your ISP are just a couple of things. Would also suggest you put what version of uTorrent you were using and what version you've uploaded to, plus any other information that might be helpful. denots311
uTorrent 3.1, windows 7 64bit (it quit working when i was still using xp, but i just got a new computer), netgear wgr614v9... i have tried deselecting "enable UPnP port mapping" and re-selecting. I have tried selecting a specific port to ensure its allowed through firewall, antivirus, and router with no luck.... I still don't know why it worked for a few hours after I factory reset my router and then quit again
DreadWingKnight
Did you Enable UPnP in both your router's configuration and in uTorrent?

archiive
ok using xp sp3 utorrent 3.0 and a dsl my dht link keeps giving up. I had until 3 no prior problems. I now find that I can get a green light for having logged in but over about a half hour I will lose all the connections and revert to a waiting to log in status. I have tried trading out nat and other settings without success.
fukthegovbullies
there is a well coded virus or something in the nature whacking out utorrent. i have been whacked many times and been to the point where i just reload my pc from all the damage it does to the ability to use torents, especially when i download areas in government research and free energy designs, my sophos wont pick up anything neither does norton, soo i am not sure what to say, i am currently unable to use utorrent myself either.
