Transfering torrents between diferent "boots"

What I have

windows vista partition that was my primary os I boot.

windows 7 partition I want to start using as my primary boot.

over 1000 torrents from vista's appdata that were loaded/running in vistas utorrent (I copied them to a different place for ease of import)

what I want

to easily add the vista torrents to win 7 with the download locations set where the files are.

issues

in vista my files(ie downloads associated with above torrents) are in say D:\totallylegalmovies or M:\PublicDomainCatvideos. the only difference with win 7 is drive D is E and M is G.

also vista is running the latest utorrent 2.X ( I think is 2.2.1?)

and win7 I just downloaded it. (3.1)

I tried to add torrents from directory however that asked my where to save. and I cant say automatically downloads to X cause my files are organized.

Any suggestions.

can I txt edit a file or something like that

just used notepad and find and replace on resume.dat

use notepad at your own risk. It doesn't handle the format of resume.dat properly

Why don't you change your windows 7 E drive to "D" and your "G" drive to "M"? Then you wouldn't have to change anything in uTorrent. All you have to do is make sure the "resume.dat" from vista is moved directly over.

actually I lied I used notepad++ and that worked
