RDGary
Hello.... I have a problem I've been battling for some time now and I thought I should ask here,at the source of my problems.........I called my internet providers to come and check my internet speed because I thought it was lacking a lot.I pay for 10 Mb/s download and got just 1 MB/s from uTorrent (good torrents). They came and tested everything out and said that everything was fine. I tried different speed test sites and all give me the same result.....they say my download speed is 8,5 MB/s (my internet provider said it would not reach 10). I feel ok with 8 MB but uTorrent is downloading with just 1 MB/s.Could you help me in giving me some advice about configuring uTorrent properly?P.S. I read other problems but didn't find one related to mine.I tried to make the necessary changes in uTorrent to have a better speed(exception in firewall, changing the port to one higher that 10000 and tested if the port was blocked by ISP,lowering upload speed to 20 kb/s,setting protocol encyprion to "enabled")
RDGary
hmmm I think i found something.....8000 megabits equals to 1000 megabytes, right? That would mean that there is no problem with uTorrent?
DreadWingKnight
8 to 1 ratio, give or take yeah, uTorrent displaying in *byte/sec and your internet provider info/speed tests giving *bit/sec will explain the numbers.
