kbzombie
If i were you id just reinstall windows all together, or you could use a windows install disk to repair the copy already on the machine. Judging by what youv said its safe to say your computer will never work as it should again, and youll probably always have trouble with it. Personally i never found reinstalling windows to be all that painfull. In the sense that im loosing files that ill never ever get back. But thats because i never keep anything really important or irreplaceable on my computer. BUT, there is one thing you can do. Use a usb storage device or some blank cd/dvd's to store the stuff you want to keep, then reinstall windows, then copy all that data back over . Assuming your able to do this with your computer now. I do this alot, i actually like to reinstall windows for no reason once in a blue moon. A fresh start always makes things better. I probably shouldnt say this in public but, getting your hands on a (valid) windows copy doesnt require you pulling out your wallet .
