KR3W
Hey guys. I download torrents from a site that requires me to keep my ratio at minimum .60 but I am having problems uploading/seeding finished torrents. I have at least 20 torrents in the "completed" section of uTorrent, but only one or two at a time are uploading even though all of the torrents that are completed say "seeding" beside them. Is it possible to get them all to start uploading? Thanks for your help.
DreadWingKnight
Considering the type of site you're dealing with, no it's not possible to get them all to start uploading. You're likely dealing with a bunch of chronically overseeded torrents that have absolutely no demand to them.

TheSPAWN
You cant upload if there isnt anybody downloading. Also you cant upload fast if there is too many people seeding while only small amount downloading. Common sense really.

Common sense really.I would not consider that to be common sense -- hence this forum, FAQ, and the ability to ask questions. But thank you for the clarification. I wish sites wouldn't demand share-ratios if it's nearly impossible for members to achieve or maintain them.

I wish sites wouldn't demand share-ratios if it's nearly impossible for members to achieve or maintain them.[/quote']Ofcourse it is (Or should be) common sense. If nobody is downloading who are you expecting to upload to? Also if you are one of hundreds of people trying to seed and only a handful of people trying to download how do you expect to be able to upload fast if you are sharing the downloaders between you all? Also its not nearly impossible at all. It all depends on how you manage your downloads, Obviously if you go and jump on a release with no downloaders you cant expect to immediately earn ratio back from it. You need to offset that with another release, Even if you dont want a release just get it to gain gain ratio back. You can also outside seed, ie download a release elsewhere and then seed it on your needed tracker, That way you already have 100% of torrent and dont need to download so you will gain ratio. If you join a torrent swarm late after its been uploaded then dont expect to upload much back in short period. You need to get on them early. A good way is to setup RSS feeds/filters if your tracker supports it, That way you will jump on your fave releases almost imediatley and gain 1:1 or more in short period. You have other options like getting a seedbox so you can do your torrents remotley and leave them seeding 24/7 on high speed lines or you can join a site that has lower ratio requirements or a decent bonus points system like http://dispersethe.net/If you want no-ratio sites stick to public, If you want to go up in world and and stay on private sites you will need to learn and adapt.
