box11
I've tried adjusting the setting in preferences to seed a higher amount but nothing works. My download speed is around 600kbs. If the seeds/peers are good it doesn't matter if I have 1 or 5 downloads active, I'm stilll capped round the 600 mark. With itunes its over 5Mbs.With seeding I'm capped around 90-100kbs, with or without downloads active. Shouldn't my seed/upload speed be the same as my max download? I'd like to seed faster, please help!!!!
MiniBikeMatt
you will never be uploading/seeding as fast as your download speed. this is physically impossible. I am downloading at around 2-3 Mbps and my upload is generally no more than 20 or so Kbps. The reason for this us because just as you are downloading and it is coming from many different "seeders" who are only uploading a small portion of that particular file, you only uploading a small portion of that file as well. In order to maximize this speed though, as well as your download speed, try the following. On the very bottom of your uTorrent screen you will see the following: DOWN Arrow with download speed overall; UP Arrow with Upload speed overall; YIN YANG symbol for seed ratio. Click on the DOWN Arrow and ensure that the check mark is next to UNLIMITEDClick on the UP Arrow and ensure that the check mark is next to UNLIMITEDClick on the YIN YANG symbol and ensure that the check mark is next to SEED FOREVEROnce those are all checked, HOPEFULLY it should speed up just a little. And it also depends on your connection speed through your Internet Provider. I have a 25Mbps package and I am getting around 60Mbps when running a speed test. Good luck. box11
Cheers mateGot all those options selected.Thats a killer rate for the speed test. I'm only testing at 6Mbps with a bottom range modem but plugged my mates latest Netgear one in and got 9Mbps. Thought all DSL modems would be similar speeds but obviously not.Anyway, thanks for the info
