"WEB SEEDS" and Permanent Web Seeding?

Pardon me... I may be way off the field with this one.

My question pertains to the "Web Seeds" field of the Create Torrent process. I'm on Mac version 1.5.13:

Several of us, raw at torrents, are attempting to "permanently seed" proprietary MP3 material to which we hold the rights -- and the rights to distribute freely. One of us (an internet presence provider) believes it's in their power to "permanently seed" the source files from a public domain name. If this is possible, we're wanting good documentation on how, and not finding any.

Nonetheless, we're feeling our way into the process, and my assumption is that the "Web Seeds" field should either point to the specific source files, and/or the public directory from which they may be seeded from a public domain.

Is this the case then?

If so, then is all there is to this simply a) to set up a directory for downloading the "permanently seeded" source files (such as an FTP directory perhaps?); and B) to enter the path to this directory, or to each source file in this public directory?

Because we're making numerous files available by adding a directory to the Create Torrent dialogue, I'm wondering if the destination directory is sufficient to find the files from the resultant configuration? Otherwise, what is the proper data and syntax for the "Web Seeds" field, if indeed it is to be used for this purpose?

Much thanks for straightening us out on this. If anybody can point us to comprehensive documentation instead, I'm sure that will be useful to many people.
