uTorrent keeps crashing. Never happened before. Solution?

Hi all. As the title says, the program keeps crashing. I didn't change any settings and didn't install any new programs. I have Windows 7 64 bit. AV is Microsoft Security Essentials. No firewall, just the standard one on Windows.

I updated to the newest version. it's up up to date.

I scanned my entire PC for viruses, and also for malware. It's clean.

I have less than 20 torrents downloading. I have more than enough hard disk space.

I restarted the PC many times.

Nothing worked.

I'd appreciate any help I could get.

uTorrent keeps crashing or you get a blue screen? Can you be a little more specific? I also have Windows 7 64bit, 32bit utorrent and I do not have any problems about crashes. I think you need to provide more details.

I've been using it for a long time with no problems, only suddenly it started.

The problem: I run the program, it starts downloading for a few minutes, then it freezes. I click its icon in the system tray and nothing happens. That's it, I get no errors, no screens, nothing.

So I closed it using task manager. Now whenever I open it, it checks the downloads (because of the improper closure) and same thing: it just freezes, and I have to manually end it.
