Multi install/database

I currently dont like to remove finished torrents from utorrent because it helps me keep track of what i've gotten in the past, where it saved, what tracker it was on, etc. However when you have ALOT of finished torrents in utorrent, performance seems to be suffering VERY noticibly. I would like to simply make a second install and start anew, being able to start the 'old' torrents when i'm pruning through the files slowly, without it interfering with the 'new' utorrent install and database, but I don't seem to be able to. It' doesnt matter where I install it, it just imports the old database.
