jebenthan Posted January 20, 2012 Report Posted January 20, 2012 Dear utorrent users,Who can help me with me following website:http://dcp.sovserv.ru/audio/51641/2009/11/17/evgeny_kissin_-_dicography_1998_-_2008/#fullIf i try to download the magnet files and open then i get the following error:Unable to load FJDSDS545D....(magnet). Unable to parse magnet uriI have searched on google what the magnet uri can come from but nothing helped me to solve the problem.Does anybody know here how to fix this? Can anybody just try to open the links and tell me which steps I have to do in order to open the magnets?PS: someone said that the magnets in the link above are accessible for soviet IP's. I live in the netherlands so the magnet won't work. Is that right? I think this makes no point.thanks by advancejebenthan
jebenthan Posted January 20, 2012 Author Report Posted January 20, 2012 so what are they and how can i access them by a program?i found something on the same website, left at the column for 'beginners'http://dcp.sovserv.ru/news/24832/2008/07/05/mnogo_ssilok/you know, in google chrome you can translate the russian page to english or your prefered language.and the site above says that they are magnet links.ok. now i see, they use this http://www.apexdc.net/ok i now more, these are DC++ filesFollowing the steps on the site above I don;t get results. It says start search and you will get your list of data. But there's one thing. Some internet connections are secured too much and well, so the search gives nothing. Right now I am googling for DC++ search doesn't work and i get articles which say to adjust settings in the program or firewall (i have windows firewall, doesn't really matter),or router settings
jebenthan Posted January 20, 2012 Author Report Posted January 20, 2012 Those aren't torrent magnets.i found several pages with this explanationshttp://www.dslreports.com/faq/6524if have forwarded 2 ports open tcp/udp on my router.but still i don't get results. some sites say that my ISP is blocking, or not allowing, theports for this program, i don;t believe that. To know or it is right, can someone try to download with the ports open between Ports -> TCP = a single port x (between 1025 and 32000) -> UDP = a single port y (between 1025 and 32000)see http://forums.comodo.com/frequently-asked-questions-faq-for-comodo-firewall/dc-and-similar-direct-connect-clients-tutorial-t1414.0.htmlif it won;t work in other countries, with good firewall and router settings, then we are sure that those DC++ files are garbage. Personally i don't think it is garbage because on the magnets download site there were positieve comments with "thank you' on russian. Better option maybe: i have sent a message to the producer of those magnets on the russian site. Maybe he can tell me what should i do.I am not sure when and if he will respond to my PM. So guys, if you could help me...it would be very great.
DreadWingKnight Posted January 20, 2012 Report Posted January 20, 2012 It's not your location that is causing the issue with those. It's the program you're trying to open the magnets with.THEY AREN'T MAGNETS FOR TORRENTS.
jebenthan Posted January 20, 2012 Author Report Posted January 20, 2012 It's not your location that is causing the issue with those. It's the program you're trying to open the magnets with.THEY AREN'T MAGNETS FOR TORRENTS.Well, you have to know that I now that they aren't magnets.Right now I have subscribed on the ApexDC forums:http://forums.apexdc.net/Ther I must wait 1 day or 2 to verify my account by a admin and then i will start a topic about this files and the russian site.I have tried everything and nothing worked.firewall is completely off and i have tried keeping many ports open in the router settings.I can see the file in the queue tab but it says 'no users to download from'my search option doesn;t work so i can't find peers to download frommaybe there are just no peers and the files are dead.I have send the uploader a message concerning this subject.thanks anyway!
