Moving .torrent Files

I'm running 2.2.1 (Build 25130).

My torrents and .torrent files are on an external hard drive with this file structure:

I also have a folder (R:\Torrents\Uploads\Tracker Name\Files) for uploaded files and another folder (R:\Torrents\Uploads\Tracker Name\Torrent Files) for the .torrent files corresponding to those files. There exist two trackers, so in total 4 of these folders.

I have read about the Former Volume Not Mounted feature implemented in 2.2, yet I don't believe I can take advantage of it due to the fact that my .torrent files reside on the external hard drive. Since I have quite a large amount of files (>500 GB), rechecking all of the data each time I start uTorrent without my external connected is quite a hassle. Does anyone know how I could somehow use the Former Volume feature in order to prevent the need to recheck each time? If not, is there a way to move my .torrent files back onto my C:\ drive in order to make it work? If anyone has any ideas, please suggest them.
