pawan98
Hi, i've been downloading torrents for like 3 or 4 years nowAll my torrents have been capped to 500kb/s, literally never gone OVER 500kb/s, its like I can go over it, but my computers not letting me. I know its obvious, its my ISP but I just wanna confirm. My isp is BT, and Bt is a bad isp according to the Vuze Wiki. http://wiki.vuze.com/w/Bad_ISPs#United_KingdomMy friend who lives 1 road away has the same download speed as me, the same BT package (20mb and unlimited download, which is the best in the area, btw where i live theres no fibre optic), he gets 500kb/s capped too lol. Here are my speedtest results:PING - 89MS ( I DUNNO WHAT THIS MEANS BUT WHATEVER )DOWNLOAD SPEED - 4.7 MBPS UPLOAD SPEED - 0.62 MBPSHere are my glasnot bittorrent results:Is your upload traffic rate limited? There is no indication that your ISP rate limits your uploads. Is your download traffic rate limited?Your ISP appears to rate limit your downloads. However, some of the measurements were affected by noise, which limits Glasnost ability to detect rate limiting.Details:* Your ISP appears to rate limit your BitTorrent downloads. In our tests, downloads using control flows achieved up to 3283 Kbps while downloads using BitTorrent achieved up to 27 Kbps.* Your ISP appears to rate limit downloads on port 6881. In our tests, downloads on port 6881 achieved up to 3283 Kbps while downloads on port 55476 achieved up to 25 Kbps.So yeh, WUTS THE PROBLEM? DreadWingKnight
DOWNLOAD SPEED - 4.7 MBPS If this is according to speedtest.net, you are not getting the bit/sec vs byte/sec conversion correct.
