cebsound Posted January 30, 2012 Report Posted January 30, 2012 I don't like my uTorrent to have too many downloads listed. So I would like to delete them from uTorrent , but I want to keep the file on my computer. What is the best way to achieve this? Also, what do you recommend to hide my downloaded files from Cable company scanning?Thank you.
kerriw Posted January 30, 2012 Report Posted January 30, 2012 Just right click on the torrent that is done seeding, and click "remove". It will remove it from utorrent but NOT your computer
ABG Posted January 31, 2012 Report Posted January 31, 2012 Just to be clear ... right click on the title, in the title listing column, select Remove , but not remove with the additional options to remove the actual torrent or the Data (which is what you wanted to keep). (For utorrent 2.x ... not sure how it looks in 3.x)
whatever Posted February 11, 2012 Report Posted February 11, 2012 You don't even need to use a menu. Select the torrent, then either click the Remove toolbar button (F4 toggles toolbar visibility), or simply hit the Delete key.The action performed depends on the setting shown below, which is found under Options > Preferences > Advanced. The default is "0" (Remove).gui.default_del_action: This option tells µTorrent how it should remove torrent jobs when pressing the Remove button or Delete on your keyboard. Note that any value above 3 will cause the "Remove" button and the Delete button on your keyboard to do nothing in µTorrent. To be safer, you'd best be setting this option in the GUI through the toolbar method.* 0 means "Remove"* 1 means "Remove and delete .torrent"* 2 means "Remove and delete Data"* 3 means "Remove and delete .torrent + Data"To change the action performed, right click the Remove toolbar button and make a choice. Based on what you're after, make sure it's set to Remove.
