supersimon7
As the screenshot above demonstrates, the upload rate (royal blue) consistently rises above the upload limit (light blue straight line). It has had this problem in uTorrent 3.0 and now in 3.1.2 beta also.Things I've tried:* Changing upload rate limit (appears to do nothing)* Enabling/disabling schedule* "Apply rate limit to transport overhead" checkbox* "Apply rate limit to uTP connections" checkbox* Setting an "Alternate upload rate when not downloading"None of the above seems to help the situation. Anybody else having this issue or know what might cause it?Another thing that's weird, is that I often see 192.168.1.1 in my list of peers (sometimes multiple times!). This is the IP of my ADSL modem/router. Why would that show as a peer? Could that be causing some weird network things to be going on? I don't think my router has any special torrent caching functionality (it's pretty basic).Simon.
Firon
You have a local peer, or at least something your client thinks is local. By default, local peers don't have a rate limit applied. If you believe there's no genuine local peers, enable "Limit local peer bandwidth" under Preferences -> BitTorrent
supersimon7
Ah, OK. Yeah "Limit local peer bandwidth" seems to solve the problem, cheers! I don't think I would have any local peers, but perhaps something is causing uTorrent to think so.
