Newbie Setup Question [1.5.14]

I've just switched from Miro to uTorrent, and am very satisfied. Simply being able to select/deselect files within a torrent (which Miro probably provided, but not apparently by default) has been tremendously helpful, in addition to the obvious benefits of uTorrent w/respect to GUI/bloat/no ads etc.

However, I began using uTorrent w/o reviewing Preferences initially, and now I have no idea if it's running as efficiently, or downloading as quickly as possible. After reviewing the Beginner's Guide and Connection Setup, I wanted to run the Setup Guide (supposedly found under Preferences -> Options), but I can't seem to find it. There doesn't even appear to be an Options tab within Preferences.

If anyone familiar with uTorrent [1.5.14] running OS X might direct me to the Setup Guide, or otherwise assist me in properly setting up uTorrent, I would be very appreciative.

As it is, I've seen uploading/downloading speeds up to 400k but most of the time speeds are much lower (between 1-5k). I am also making sure to seed as much as possible (I hope I expressed that properly).

uTorrent for Mac doesn't have such option as Setup Guide, however, you can check this topic http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?id=58404
