Connection Closed by Peer

I have used utorrent for many years now. As of yesterday it will not work. I added torrents to download and nothing will download. I finally have a few things uploading but not everything is. The torrent sites I use show me having no torrents. I do. Also only one site will let me add anything yet it goes to utorrent but doesn't download. I do have a message however that says Connection Closed by Peer. Well if I am the peer I didn't close anythinjg. I leave utorrent running and it was fine till yesterday. It just stopped working. I have tried the newer utorrent and have tried to down grade utorrent. none are working. I have used utorrent for many years as stated yet I have never had any trouble before and need specific instructions...lol Termanolgy wise I am a newbie. Thank you so much for any help.
