DRShroyer
The %s token does not appear to be working.I am trying to enter a search provider for 1337x.org, using the following:1337x|http://1337x.org/search/%s/0/The %s seems to cause the search to be completely ignored, eg. the browser does not launch at all. Removing the %s works, except that the syntax I need requires the search spec to be followed by "/0/" (and this is not possible without using %s). Otherwise 1337x.org throws a 404 error. myteam
This change seems to have appeared when uTorrent introduced the "Run Program" feature. Navigate to Advanced preferences under Run Program and you will see the following line:You can use the following parameters:%S - State of torrentApparently this feature has hijacked the variable we once used for our custom searches. Thanks to this 'improvement' we can no longer custom search via TPB or 1337x.
DRShroyer
It appears that the %s of the UI Extras Search Engines feature needs to be changed to a token NOT used by the Run Program feature. And the documentation updated as well.Is there anyone there who can handle this apparently minor programming job??
nopowers
I'd like to join in the call to fix this issue. This pesky little bug is stopping me from adding kickass torrents to my search providers since their pattern should be Kickass|http://kat.ph/usearch/%s/
DRShroyer
There is a clunky work-around to this...Remove any reference to %s from the URL section of the search provider text inManage Search Providers...Then, add to your search spec whatever should go after it for the torrent site. For example, 1337x adds "/0/" after the search spec, so, instead of:Abraham Lincoln Vampireuse this:Abraham Lincoln Vampire/0/
DRShroyer
... and the clunky work around does not always work! The user nopowers who needs just "/" will find that my idea does not work for him/her.And another release (3.2.2 28959) with no fix for this, I guess this one is just too complicated for the programmers :/
hackin8
I cannot help with the general problem - that will wait until the programmers assign a new parameter; But to answer an earlier message:Change this: Kickass|http://kat.ph/usearch/%s/To this: KickassTorrents|http://kat.ph/torrents/usearch/?q=and it will workThis is the old formate used by KAT - but still functions ok

DRShroyer
It has now been over one year (!) since I reported this issue.Still no fix.Is there even a point to reporting bugs if they are still there after such a long time?

DRShroyer
It appears that the Manage Search Providers %s token issue has been fixed in 3.3.0 b 29544 Looks like I spoke too soon. The %s token works, but now the ability to insert a seperator in the list using a blank line in Search Engines is gone... still documented, just no longer working. And this latest muckup is not fixed in 29625.
