WinstonSmith6079
I have my own consistant filenaming convention for my media files. I'd like to rename a file or files after getting them complete, but of course I want to share them back out.Can I do this? If so, how? Thanks! FredSam43
If you are adventurous you can use hard links to have the same file with two different names in different places...The problem is that many utilities (and some backup programs) will think they are separate files... WinstonSmith6079
Hmm, "hardlink".... That's not the same as a simple shortcut, is it?
jbebad
I do not know about the "hard links" stuff. But you can relocate a file to any filename you want - in effect you are either renaming or moving it to a new location with a new name - all within uTorrent. WinstonSmith6079
Hey! I bet that would work!I could d/l stuff straight into my libraries and then share them from there as long as they in there, which is typically for time indefinite! It'll help me to re-seed whatever media files much, MUCH more!I think I have my answer now. Thanks again! hehehe
