DownSort: Automatic Download Extraction

Hi,

Looks like the extensions to keep are empty... which means it will probably remove all the files, or in your case not move anything and remove the extracted file.

You will need to add extensions you want to move/keep into that box, so *.mkv for hd videos and so on - let me know if that works

I tried adding

*.mp4

*.mvi

*.avi

I downloaded 3 things last night all with mp4's in but nothing extracted still

because mp4s aren't zip archives. there's no need to "extract" them.

Great program, but seem to be having some setup issue.

When I download a show Downsort will extract and copy the file to the proper TV file, only when I have file names under the Extentions to keep list. But it also leaves a copy of the decompressed file in the torrent, which is causing Utorrent to list an error:files missing. If I don't have anything under extensions to keep Downsort, will extract then delete causing it to not move a file that doesn't exist.

It also is not moving non .rar and movie files.

under options remove sample directory and organize into folders both checked.

move movies and extract downloaded file both checked.

any file locations containing a space is replaced with _

any suggestions?

I am having a problem with downsort in windows 8. 

When I am not creating a log file, it is extracting the rar and moving the extraxted file from the temp folder to the main folder. It is deleting the sample and temp folder but it's not deleting the rar files and its not removing the torrent from utorrent. 

When I'm creating  a log file, it is extracting the rar, but the file is stuck in the temp folder. And it is not deleting any files or removing the torrent file.

Hi,

 

I get a .net framework error after the torrent downloads when it tries to run downsort. Does it need to be in the same folder as the rar files?

I'm running windows 8.1.

I found out what the problem was with deleting the rar files. Apparently, utorrent was making the files and folders read only. There is a setting in the advanced settings of utorrent to stop making files and folders read only.

is there a way for it to move the extracted file to the root folder and not copy.

 

Currently I have it setup to not delete anything and for it to extract each video to its root folder.

 

This all works great and It is sorting everything into (TV show)---(season)---(episode) correctly but when I look in the original torrent folder with all of the RARs there is also a copy of that episode still in there.

 

it looks like the program is extracting to the torrent's folder and then making a copy to the root folders.

 

 

And when it does come time to delete the torrent folder from utorrent everything in the original torrent folder is deleted but the full video file. This also means there is 2 copies of every video on my hard drive taking up twice the space.
