Arby
Hello all. I don't see a newbie section or I would have visited it. I'm a newbie in skill level more than experience. I've been using Shareaza and Bit Tornado forever, but recently hit some road bumps that caused me to look around. I guess it might be wise to learn some new habits, such as using magnets, judging from stuff I'm reading about Pirate Bay etc.. I thought my Shareaza might be okay for that (and it might indeed be), but when I tried it, I saw no sign of life. Maybe it was me.Anyway, I'm finding Utorrent's settings a bit bewildering and I have no tech savvy file sharing friends close at hand to help flatten out my learning curve. Let's start small here...First, though, Thanks for the program or app by the way! I've used it before. I thought it worked very well. I can't remember exactly why, but I decided to not use it based in reports about who owns it and it's direction. (I wasn't overly concerned. I just made a decision.) As for Utorrent specifically, I can't recall what it was. I do recall my issues with Bit Torrent and who bought it. If it's easy enough to not take chances and use a client that carry's no risks or baggage, I am there. I don't need the latest and greatest. The small? How do I set my download speed format to Kb/s instead of kb/s?Thanks in advance...
DreadWingKnight
The small? How do I set my download speed format to Kb/s instead of kb/s?uTorrent ONLY displays in *byte/sec. Outside of the setup guide, NOTHING in uTorrent is in *bit/sec.
Arby
I guess this isn't the 'introduce yourself' area. We are always nice - sometimes.
