Torrents wont connect to seeds

Yesterday when I left for work I left my torrents up to download. I came home and none were complete. I was baffled they were downloading about 1 meg a second when I left. I figured the seeds were out or my computer stopped connecting when it went to sleep. Well I continued to try to get them to download and they wouldnt. I then Encrypted my connection and randomized my port and reboot everything. And about half of them downloaded (Much slower than normal) but the problem didnt go away. I grabbed a torrent that I downloaded two days ago in 5 minutes and it still has not connected to 1 of the 671 seeders after 30 minutes. I also grabbed the top seeded torrent and its connected to only 1 of the 12019 after 20 minutes. What is going on? It was working fine yesterday.

Erm, I don't see what your problem is.

I'm already happy if I can download at 300 kilo a second, even though my connection could theoretically reach 2 megs a second (and it only does so on torrents that are particularly popular and have high quality seeds).

Or maybe when you said "1 meg", you meant megabit instead of megabyte?

Sorry excuse me I was typing on my phone yesterday. I mean to say; they were downloading at 1 megabyte a second. But when I got home not a single torrent would connect. I still can not connect to seeds

An import part to remember when dealing with torrent clients is that you ISPs do NOT like them. This is why most of all of them throttle down P2P exchange to much lower data transfer rate than what you actually pay for. You will hit your max speeds from time to time but during preset periods....

On another note, I wish I could figure out why I can seed (2.0 ratio) super fast on some and absolutely not on others.

Example: Downloaded video file yesterday and it was done in about an hour but 24 hours later, the seeding is stalled. There are 951 seeds showing and 1285 peers. 2 other video files are seeding, one at 84 MB/sec the other at around 600 KB . What gives?

Because of my limited storage, ISP Throttling, electrostatic issues in my home causing a need to shut down all my electronics in order to discharge it all, Adding to this, uTorrent seems to shutdown on its own at least twice daily; I can only assume that I've been branded a leech?! So.... how do I get out from under that cloud?

I keep my files up to 2 week and finished or nay, I have to delete them from my system. I do not have the resources to keep all I download on my computer. I have a back up drive to store completed files but I do my best to ensure the maximum opportunity to meet the 2.0 seeding ratio.

Any thought on the matter? How can I increase my chances of getting prioritized in the seeding swarms?
