Question for a newbie

I pretty much download (and, upload) things from the same site. It says to download Vuze (a bit client) to get certain movies. At first, I got Bittorrent and then, in order to upload I needed this. My question is, what is the difference between them all? Thanks,

There are some differences like cars are different. Just pick a software you like and use it.
