McAfee/mcshield.exe running at 50/100% when using latest version

Whenever I even think about opening the latest version (as of mar 10/12) of uTorrent, my Mcafee/mcshield.exe starts running at 50/100% and freezes any explorer.exe functionality/general PC navigation. If I leave it alone for 1-2 mins, uTorrent pops up and torrents start working but I can't click on anything without my PC freezing for another 1-2 mins. If i kill utorrent.exe my pc returns to normal operation.

If I disable McAfee real-time scanning this isn't an issue.

Disabling the mcafee firewall does nothing only completely disabling real-time scanning fixes this. I only started having this problem in the last couple of days so i'm assuming it's a problem with the latest build 3.1.3(26837).

I've never had issues with McAfee and uTorrent on any other build (been using both for years).
