zorch007 Posted March 12, 2012 Report Posted March 12, 2012 uTorrent works fine with UHT,PEX and UDP Trackers set active. If "launched securely" using TorrentPrivacyproxy, the proxy auto-configures so that UHT,PEX and UDP are disabled and encryption is made activeusing socks 4. The proxy will connect fine to its servers but when I try to place a torrent in the download window of the uTorrent client, I get this crazy message, "It seems like uTorrent is already running but notresponding:Please close all uTorrent processes and try again." The message is preceded and followed by an exclamation point within a yellow triangle. So, I go to Task Manager and find the one uTorrent process and close it. However when I relaunch, if I try to download from behind the proxy, I get the samemessage. Sort of makes it impossible to download a torrent securely. I have a windoze7 64bit Acer PC, I am with Charter communications in the U.S., use Firefox browser, a NetGear49 router connected to theDSL modem. I have sometimes bypassed the Netgear49 and still get the same message. According tothe connection side of the proxy, all the required ports are open. Suggestions?
