Hi

I have an issue with utorrent is that it can create any torrent file wither its a file or folder but there's one folder can't. It always hang or error whenever i try to make .torrent file of that folder that is 100 gb and it happens with all utorrent releases 3.2 , 3.1.3 , 2.2.1....etc so i was wondering if the size of the folder is the problem?!

Does it hang forever? What errors do you see?

Yes, It hangs forever for 3++ and for 2.2.1 it shows an error massage about hash line 23 i think .

"Remove And Delete .torrent" works very slow. (few minutes freeze)

Frustrating. What's going on?

2.2.1 works fine.

3.1.* has the same problem.

i didn't even create the .torrent file to delete it or you mean utorrent.exe the one in the program files?

2.2.1 shows error massage about hashing thing although this never happened to me with any file or folder except this 100 gb+ folder.

Just writing down this oddity for reference. I get a ton of UPnP related error with the few latest versions of 3.2. Haven't seen them before and my router settings have not changed. Torrents seem to do fine still. Only "log UPnP errors" is ticked, and they don't show if I untick that. Current port for incoming connections was: 29738 (randomized)

[2012-06-02 22:35:22] recvfrom ERROR: 10035

first thing to look at is the size of the names of the files.

Windows (& other OS) set limits...

if your folder is deeply nested try moving it to the root

I am "disappointed" from this "Candidate's" change-log... It seems to be missing some "Fixed lines" ;) :

-- 2012-06-05: Version 3.2 Release Candidate 1 (build 27343)

-1 Not Fixed: crash when running "setup-guide"->speed-test twice [96]

-2 Not Fixed: crash when using Authenticated Sock4 proxy [119]

-3 Not Fixed: crash when click-download a magnet from the RSS list-view (for example - The Pirate Bay's...) [111]

-4 Not Fixed: auto-downloading tracker-less magnets from RSS will not auto-enable DHT, and will never download [114]

-5 Not Fixed: "Add Torrent" dialog is wrongly assigning the torrent name as part of the "Save-as" folder name field in case of a single-file-torrent ( this is only when you select-change to a different folder, cause using the 'save-as' sub-dialog instead of 'select folder' one ) [125]

-6 Not Fixed: uTP delay graph is broken (in the negative territory... ) [92]

-7 Not Fix: The Upload limiter breaks down when set to *include* overhead, and the download-induced-overhead exceeds the set limit [116]

Confirm/reject the above points if you will ... I might be mistaken... :)

Why didn't you mention "magnets" in the first place ... ;) OK, confirmed...

It is not the only option that still doesn't work with magnets... Now, after you get the meta-data for a magnet , even when I do NOT check the "Start torrent" checkbox, nor the Advanced->"initial seeding" – the torrent always auto-Force-starts.

So lets just say that all the check-boxes are broken for adding magnets, and let the devs sort it up ... :)

The last build (27295) is more stable. I have be able to download many torrents without problems. But it still crash sometimes. Reseting settings.dat (removing it) seems to not work.

But i like that the new build seems more stable.

EDIT: saw the new release now, installed it, will wait and see if it will crash. i'll be back. ;)

Before releasing stable version can patch from alpha be merged with this version ?

-- 2012-05-02: Version 3.3 alpha (build 27150)

- Change: Increase supported torrent (total files) size from 1TB to 17TB.

And how about updating finally Help file, because there are many new Advanced options which are no described there...
