CrazyGuy158 Posted March 16, 2012 Report Posted March 16, 2012 I made the choice of entrusting Avast with protecting my system, and that I don't regret. However, it made uTorrent drag my system down by draining all the CPU power and using loads and loads of memory. I uninstalled Avast, though, and installed Avira Free instead and now uTorrent runs as smoothly as it should have from the start!

Mac-the-Knife Posted March 18, 2012 Report Posted March 18, 2012 I use Avast free edition and hit really high speeds with uTorrent. The one problem I am having is that my system takes ages to start up and my browser seems to take the earth to open, but no problems downloading. I would suggest in Avast that people set it to either manually update or to notify when an update is available, otherwise you will get instances where the program updates while you are doing something else and this dramatically slows things down.
