tedych Posted March 30, 2012 Report Posted March 30, 2012 It's odd the utorrent version number we download from the site is nowhere to be seen really. Not even the filename we download tells us the version until we install it!Why?Thanks.
jsillup Posted April 1, 2012 Report Posted April 1, 2012 Right click - Properties - Details - Product version will show you uTorrent.exe version number.
tedych Posted April 1, 2012 Author Report Posted April 1, 2012 Yes, I know that perfectly. The question was slightly different and in principle. Also once I noticed a slight difference (maybe oversight by devs) between the reported build number there, and the actual version in About after install. This happens with other softwares too, so this cannot be trusted anymore. The site should indicate the current version (and possibly build) you are about to download. This was the case until recently, then they decided to expurgate it.

You should see the version number there.

It's not the right solution, moreover it cannot be trusted really.Again, this should be visible right on the homepage, where the download link is. No idea what drove its removal.
