Thomas1647
Can someone please shed some light on this?My utorrent has been trying to connect to this localhost [utp] for quite some time already. Despite what it has been said at a previous thread here, I don't believe mine is a case of my utorrent trying to connect to itself. For one, localhost [utp]'s percentage is slowly but steadily increasing, so I know it couldn't have been me. For two, when I seed the same torrent using another IP (my laptop), localhost [utp] showed up on there as well. And it couldn't have been my desktop and my laptop seeing each other as they always appeared by their IP even till now - and not "localhost [utp]". My Host file has just one single line on it - "localhost 127.0.0.1"Please advise. I'm concerned if there's anything wrong. Thanks.
DreadWingKnight
Reverse dns games most likely. Disable IP resolution on the peers tab.
Thomas1647
Thanks, DreadWingKnight. A "localhost [utp]" connected to me today (not sure if it's the same person) and I unchecked the "Resolve IPs" as you told me to. I was then able to determine that its IP came from Netherlands, halfway across the globe from my country. Thanks again!
