download speed drop to 8.5kb/s,

today utorrent download speed drop to 8.5kb/s, it starts out at full strenght but after a min or so it drops to 8.5-9.5 kb/s and stays there, have reset the router did not help, updated utorrent still nothing, I'm kinda lost on what to do.

any help would be appreciated

analogiously problem. Only if click on refresh tracker option then 10 sec. after the speed begin to increase. See it in most trackers.

This is wrong and abusive. It doesn't solve the problem. It only makes the trackers harder to access for both you and other users.

The guide I linked requests A LOT of information when the rest of the guide doesn't work that you haven't provided.

Was wrong ... but not abusive. Why do people behind a firewall think they can be dinks?

Here's a thought. When you fire up utorrent and you see the speed increase to near max, keep an eye on the lower middle left section. If you see "Disk overloaded **%" then your download/upload speed will be lowered proportionally to the overload percentage. At 100% overloaded your total speed will never go above 10kbs.

Hope this helps ... and that no one thinks I'm a dink ...

Edit: Sorry but I forgot to tell you the solution if that is your problem, although you prolly already know. Stop all background programs that are accessing your disk and you will be able to run full speed again.
