Is there a problem with downloading only selected files in a torrent?

If I only want to download part of a large torrent (e.g. only one album from an artist's entire discography), the menu comes up to select the files I want, but even if I uncheck the rest of the albums, it proceeds to download the entire thing. Is this a glitch of some sort, and if so is there a fix? or am I just doing something wrong? Thanks

It's probably because of cross-file pieces. Nothing you can do about that.
