DreadWingKnight
Connecting to 500 peers on your connection is eating a LOT of your connection's capabilities.http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?id=15992 <-- re-followhttp://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?id=58404

DreadWingKnight
More isn't better. Contrary to what you've had drilled into your head by people that don't know better.
luke1166
what so the bigger the download speed the worse? then that would take a long time to download the file
DreadWingKnight
When you open more peer connections, you lose a LOT of bandwidth to communication of piece acknowledgement that would be better suited to actually transferring pieces. That's why fewer peer connections are actually better.
