Split tunnel configuration?

Hi all, I'm trying to use a split tunnel setup with only utorrent traffic going out through my VPN connection. There are several different ways to do this, but I'm having difficulty setting it up.

First way I would like to do it is using DD-WRT on my router to send utorrent traffic to the VPN tunnel, but I don't know how to go about doing that.

second way would be to run utorrent inside a VM. This seems like a simple way to do it, but I would rather use my router for this process.

third way which might work as well, is set up some firewall rules on my computer to disallow all non-http traffic over the standard connection, and use the VPN tunnel instead. essentially forcing it to use only the gateway for the vpn.

If anyone has experience with VPN split-tunneling I would love to hear how you go about doing it. I use a PTPP VPN, but I can switch it to any other type with no issues, this just has the lowest overhead of easy to setup protocols.
