utorrent takes forever to start

Hi all,

I installed utorrent on a win 7 ultimate 64 bit system.

at first it was working fine but recently it started taking it several minutes to start. i dont mean downloading, i mean the actual program. the process runs in the background taking up close to 1gb of ram but it'll take up to 5-7 minutes before i see the gui and another several minutes before the torrent window shows up (the one where i pick the destination folder etc.)

i reckon its not RAM as i have 8GB, any ideas?

Open %AppData%\uTorrent in your file browser and see if settings.dat is large. If so, delete settings.dat and settings.dat.old with µTorrent closed.
