bucknyl
I have been using Utorrent for over a year now. All of a sudden, when I exit utorrent or reboot, I get a message "cannot save the resume file". All my active torrent are then lost. This is new. Firon
Well, make sure you aren't using Deep freeze or something that prevents uT from writing its settings to %AppData%\uTorrent.

bucknyl
I spoke too soon. When I rebooted, I got the following:Unable to save the resume file. Some data may be lost.Another program may have the file open, or the disk is full. Please correct this and click retry. If you press cancel, the resume file will not be saved. The disk is not full or even close. 100GB is free. As for another program using the file, there is no active torrent. This is beyond me. I would like to upgrade, but this is scaring me.

rafi
resume.dat is corrupted and cannot be deleted, Only if another instance of uT is opening it. Check if it didn't close well, or you ran it twice.also:-- 2012-04-30: Version 3.2 beta (build 27133)- Fix: possible hang on shutdown (disk thread would exit prematurely)update, or wait till 3.1.3 gets it...
