Torrents Blocked In India

The Indian government has ordered all ISPs to block utorrent access. Can anyone help me in finding the best proxy servers that I can use to bypass this ban? I have tried some and while they work to an extent, I cannot open the itoorents page to look at all the new torrents available.

Or is there a better way to access utorrents?

you're confusing utorrent, bittorrent and torrents. i would suggest asking other indians, few people are likely to know what you're talking about here.

If your ISP is blocking bittorrent traffic, you'll have to use forced encryption in your uTorrent client. If your ISP is blocking access to torrent download sites, you'll need a proxy or VPN.

I am from india too. Yes, torrent sites like piratebay, torrentz.eu etc. were blocked for a few days. but now, the block seems to have been removed. i couldnt open piratebay for 2 or 3 days, instead a page with the message 'Blocked as per the order of DOT (Department of Telecommunication)' used to come up, But it opens up now.

Hi, i'm from india.

u Torrent access is not blocked. u torrent is the client you use to get your files. its like a software.

What was blocked by major ISP's is the access to torrent search sites, like you said http://torrentz.eu , thepiratebay.se , kat.ph, where you just search for the files. Still, these sites can be accessed by using a secure connection. Just add https:// in front of the URL. eg: instead of http://torrentz.eu type https://torrentz.eu [note that 's' is added].

@blackbox711 yes, there are many countries that has torrent search sites blocked. but you can use it by going to this link --> https://torrentz.eu [note the 's' after http] . And yes, you can still download any torrent files as old times.

i;m in india. i'm still using torrentz.eu. the method to use this website.

go to kproxy.com and type torrentz.eu in search bar.. you can use torrent by this method.but there is 1 problem. website will be little bit slower than the original one.

method to use torrentz.eu in india is:-

1. Download and install hidemyip.

2. select advanced settings.

3. Tick use ip from US

4. open your browser and open torrentz.eu

Actually, given the current climate it is even more dangerous to use an US ip.

What I use is Tor and it seems to be working very well.
